This weekend was gorgeous!! Perfect weather. The sun was just bright enough to give me a perfect farmer’s sunburn.
Saturday was Georgia’s Spring Game. I never know how to feel about it. It’s great to be back in the stadium and we always win, but we have to wait 5 more months (and this year another week because of the Dome game) to be back in our beloved Sanford Stadium.
Ryan, Marissa, Daynes, Sloaner, and I helped set a record attendance for G-Day.
As far as the game goes, there was a fumble on the one yard line. It’s nice to know that things never change in Athens.
During halftime, Eric Zeier, DJ Shockley, David Greene, and Matt Stafford had a qb competition. The competition was a flop since their throws weren’t accurate, but it was nice having them all together.
That night we went to dinner with Kac and Jason and it was just lovely seeing them again!
Sunday after getting up early and playing tennis, Katie and I went to the Dogwood Festival at Piedmont Park. We were feeling very city.
The rest of Atlanta had the same idea. It was super packed. I know it doesn’t look like it here, but the booths are on the upper level of the park. Luckily, not many of the booths struck my fancy, so we leisurely wandered.
I’m not really sure why it is called the Dogwood Festival when I didn’t see any dogwoods blooming there, but it was nice to be outside.
This city is just beautiful in the spring!
