Last weekend was perfect. Happy hour at Tap, Saturday morning hike, and wine tasting with the girls followed by dinner on the patio.
For the hike, we ventured to Kennesaw Mountain, which is in northwest Atlanta. It’s where Sherman started his march to the sea. I just wish he hadn’t of burned all of Atlanta down during his march because I would appreciate having older architecture.
It had been five years since I’ve hiked Kennesaw Mountain, but each time I’m amazed to think that prior to paved trails, canons were brought up there.
The hike is less than two miles each way and a fairly easy hike. Great scenery and good views of the city. It’s more wooded than Stone Mountain (no granite here), especially with the new leaves on the trees right now! If you’re in the Atlanta area, go for a hike!
