Treasure right outside Atlanta

I’ve gone running at the Chattahoochee National Rec Area many times, but when AH asked if I wanted to hike at Sope Creek last Saturday, I had never heard of it.  It is at the back of the Chattahoochee trails and only a 20 minute drive from Buckhead.

It was a perfect fall morning: chilly and sunny and the leaves are turning!

There are ruins still standing from the paper mill that was once there.

Other than worrying about slipping on wet rocks and leaves, the hiking was easy and more of just walking than having to climb hills.  Plus, the park wasn’t that crowded.  We had a great time and loved going on a beautiful hike so close to the city.

If you haven’t heard of Sope Creek, check it out!  We already discussed planning another visit!

Also, Go Dawgs!!  3 in a row!
